WHAT OUR FAMILIES say.
Nothing speaks louder than the families who've been through the program. Here's what they want you to know.
Coach Dylan brings a consistently positive and composed energy to the team. His focus is always on helping the team improve and succeed together. What stands out most is that he goes beyond just teaching fundamentals. He puts real thought into game planning and strategy, practicing different types of plays so the girls show up prepared to function as a cohesive unit rather than a collection of individuals. That level of structure and intention is rare and makes a noticeable difference. I’ve seen remarkable growth in my own daughter in just a few months. She went from simply being curious about basketball to genuinely caring about the game and her teammates. After her very first practice, she came home excited, saying she loved the energy of the sport. Something that meant a lot to me as a parent. Having experienced a range of coaches, I can say Coach Dylan strikes an exceptional balance. He is neither overly critical nor vague and easily frustrated, and he’s also not so lenient that practices lose direction. He combines clear instruction, discipline, and encouragement in a way that keeps the girls engaged and motivated. As a result, my daughter is increasingly driven to improve her skills and contribute to the team.

I want to share 3 things I really appreciate about Coach Dylan and the impact he has on my daughter, Rainbow, during her year with the 4th grade girls team.

First, Coach Dylan is incredibly friendly and warm with the kids. He has a natural coaching style that connects well with young players, making them feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn the game.
Second, he is dynamic and adaptable. After every game and practice, he adjusts his coaching approach based on what the team needs to improve. I find this especially valuable because effective coaching should evolve with the players. He doesn’t rely on a rigid playbook. Instead, he tunes his training to help each player grow as they develop.

Lastly, Coach Dylan is fair and consistent when it comes to discipline. My daughter sometimes tells me on the drive home, "I hate coach Dylan" because he made the girls do push-ups and sprints. Yet she understands why. At 10 years old, she’s learning accountability, effort, and teamwork, and that structure is important. She may not always love it in the moment, but she knows it’s helping her improve.
Thank you, Coach Dylan, for your dedication and for helping these young athletes grow both on and off the court.
